Causes
You can be IP banned for 3 reasons:
- Flooding/Spamming out. Usually a 3-10 minute ban.
- Fast reconnections. Usually 2-10 minute ban.
- Invalid CD-Key! Up to 2 week ban. Note that dashes in the CD-Key ("-") will not cause this error because Stealthbot automatically removes these. Note that there is a bug currently that will cause Starcraft Anthology (new 26 character Alpha-numeric) keys to return an Invalid CD-Key! error and will get you banned for two weeks. If you use one of these keys, make sure to upgrade to Build 469 or later from the build log (linked at the bottom).
Solution
The only way to solve this error is to wait it out. You can play on another server (ex. USWest instead of USEast) while you wait it out.
Do not try to change your IP. Blizzard keeps track of banned IPs and accounts, so you could get yourself permanently banned on all servers.
