Dynamic-Friends List

Author:
AwaKening
Original Concept by PhiX

Version: 1.1.5

Description:
Expands your friend list capabilities by adding and removing clan members as they log on/off. This way only online members are in your friend list.

Commands:
None

Settings:

ignored
Usernames you don't ever want added
Default = null

safeQueue
Use known safe queue values to prevent flooding (Must Reload Script to take effect)
Default = Y

Important Notes:

- Your bot must be a clan member
- This script will override any queue values you have with my tested safe values unless you change the safeQueue setting to N
- If more than 25 members are online at once, the script will store users in an overflow and add them as members log off

CHANGELOGS:
' 1.1.5 updated 06/18/2012
' - Added a 30 second wait for DFL upon bnet connection to avoid flooding
' 1.1.4 updated 02/08/2011
' - Added a setting for safeQueue (Changes your botvars.queue values)
' 1.1.3 updated 12/03/2010
' - Fixed users not being added/removed due to logging on then off very quickly
' (accomplished by cycling the queue to look for /fadd and /frem)
' 1.1.2 updated 11/22/2010
' - Member leaving clan will now be removed from friends
' 1.1.1 updated 11/08/2010
' - Fixed an issue with users being removed twice on reload
' - Fixed an error this script could cause in sharedq
' - Initial connect now uses channeljoin since the friend object wasn't updated
' - Added friendCount vars to track Friends.Count more accurately
' 1.1.0 updated 11/07/2010
' - Fixed an issue with friends on script reload
' - Added a check to remove nonclan friends
' - Added a setting for list of people never to add

This script is amazing it helps me alot but you just said:

- There is a possibility of flooding the first time you load this script since it will be adding/removing a lot of members
- If more than 25 members are online at once, the script will store users in an overflow and add them as members log off

This keeps taking me out of bnet for flooding with adding 10-15 members in a round. I also asked for a way to delay my bot but i think gettin delay on this will fix the problem. Please help Awakening because this is a good script that i cant use at the moment.

I dont want to get Ip banned forever.

Yes, it appears to get you ipbanned on initial logon when adding about 8+ members. Stealth internal queue only delays each 1 by 2 seconds. I'll mess around with some settings to see if I can fix it.

Not just initial logon but is the most dangerous step at the moment.

Anyways thanks for your fast answer to my problem and i hope you get to fix it. Would like to help more but i suck at scripting.

Ok, I've updated the script with a new setting (safeQueue). It is enabled by default, so all you need to do is update and reload.

Basically it will change your queue values to a "safer" level than the defaults. I tested with 12 friends on initial load and no flood :)

Looks like it works better now. :P I'll keep testing because i just figured out the list can be 2x times of the active member list. Ex. When you logg on the bot it will removed first all the members that arn't online anymore and then will add the online members so each remove/add count as one menssage on bnet. But like i said before looks good for now. My clan activity go from 15 to 25thats why the flood. ^^

Thanks Awakening.

I keep flooding on connect

We can see there is dealy of 2-3 secs on each "add to FL" but when you connect it remove all the offline members without any delay on it.

I honestly can't believe it is flooding out with that kind of delay. I'll experiment a little more with some queue values; although finding the perfect values will be difficult. The devs messed with it already long before me.

I think most users aren't going to experience this problem if your bot is online 90% of the time. I might just avoid the bot queue all together and make a timer for it.

I just found out i was right about delay.

It work perfectly when bot just have to add members to friend list. All the problem of flooding is when bot remove offline members of friend list. My bot just added 10 members when i connected and removed 1 and i didn't got flood/ban.Also you really did a good job with first delay.

Maybe a line with add all online then end and remove all offline with the same queue values .. but i dont know im bad at this. :(

Either you changed something in the script, or something else is interfering. Did you disable /frem or /fadd in your command manager? That would cause it.

hahahahaa it was fadd command. The other day i edited command manager and somehow i turned off that one. "dumb me"

Thanks again awakening and be the way, the other day i turned on my bot and it added/removed like 25 friends and didnt flooded :D . Values work perfect when it mix add/remove.

Also worked perfect with 15 adds and not flood. I think the edit of values that you did are pettry good and its just some other script that made me flood when mixed with dfl functions in the login time.

You seem to be the only one having problems. My guess is that another script is clearing your queue before it finishes.

I'm having problems again with this script.

+Sometimes it remove users that are online from friendlist when i connect the bot. Like removing every user that was already on the list even if he is online, then don't add any user. I dont know if is any other script, because i removed one that was causing troubles long ago.
+Having problem with "disconnected" because bot is adding/removing around 30 users too fast.

This script is making me gettin Ip banned several times and i really need it !

yeah i know but could it be adjusted some how so that it would be able to be used on d2 without needing to be on a clan. just add people who join the channel

You would need an entirely different script.

this script has flooded my bot out several times after i brought by bot back online because of various issues not related to the bot, but things like wc3 freezing or my power going out during storm.
