This script is an attempt to workaround the periodic SB bug of not knowing that it's offline.

No settings or commands required. Simply save to scripts folder and reload your bot.

A log file is stored as Reconnects.txt in your stealthbot profile folder. It will indicate when the bot has gone offline and attempted to reconnect. It will also indicate if SB was unaware it was offline. If you don't want logging turned on, then change doLog to False in the script itself.

CHANGELOG:
' 1.0.1 11/18/2010
' - Added a disconnect call before every reconnect attempt

Something interesting happened a few days ago, didn't notice it until today.
Spoiler

The bit where

[02:29:54 PM] All connections closed.
[02:29:54 PM] Connecting your bot...

was when I finally noticed it was disconnected. I dunno how this happened

Did you have to manually disconnect it then I'm assuming, or did the script finally reconnect it?

Looks like I might have to add a call to disconnect everytime before running connect; eventhough it shouldn't be necessary. Needs to be fixed in a dev release, but I'll work around it.

EDIT:
Just posted up an updated version that will call a disconnect before any reconnect attempt. Should work around the bug you had.

I had to manually do it, yes.

Got this error yesterday, bot wasn't reconnecting until I manually reconnected it.

This has nothing to do with my script. It's a bug with Stealthbot and the Devs can't track it down. When that happens, you can just do a /cq

I'm getting a different error now, after leaving bot on for 29 days.

Spoiler

CQ doesn't fix this one, nor does manually reconnecting

Again, this is a stealth bug, not a scripting bug. It has nothing to do with the Reconnect script. This problem has been fixed in the newer development releases though. Look in the Tech Support Forum.
