TinyUrl Client
Author: Neco
Category: Utility
Version: v1.0 R1

Purpose: The purpose of this script is to allow people using a game client to shorten URLs in order to share them with others.

Commands:
tinyurl [url] - By default it requires 0 access but that can be changed via the command manager. If a URL is not supplied, and the last url function is enabled, then it will respond with the last created url via this script.

Customizable Settings:
The only setting you can change is the "ALLOW_LAST_URL" setting at the top of the script. If set to true then it will enable the last url function explained above.
Example:

Quote

<User> .tinyurl
<Bot> Last Created TinyUrl: http://tinyurl.com/1c2

The last url link is stored in the "scripts.ini" file and should not be edited manually.

Example Usage:

Quote

<User> .tinyurl www.google.com
<Bot> New TinyUrl: http://tinyurl.com/1c2

Update

Version: v1.1
Changes:
  • Added an optional argument to the command which allows you to specify a TinyUrl alias. If the alias is free, then it will respond with the appropriate link.
    Example:

    Quote

    <User> .tinyurl thisisanalias www.google.com
    <Bot> New TinyUrl: http://tinyurl.com/thisisanalias

Download:Attached File  TUC.txt (1.98K)
Number of downloads: 198

i have got a question.

[03:55:50 PM] <aRt)Y> .tinyurl www.google.de
[03:55:51 PM] <To aRt)Y> New TinyUrl: http://tinyurl.com/v5j
[03:55:55 PM] <aRt)Y> .tinyurl
[03:55:55 PM] <To aRt)Y> Last Created TinyUrl: http://tinyurl.com/v5j

i added as example google.de as tinyurl but if i am requestioning it why does there come "v5j"
what does it mean?
and can you/i fix it?
it would be confusing for the people i guess.

Works for me.

Do you know what tinyurl.com does? It's meant for long URLs that you don't want others to write down and type into their browser. You can give them a short (tiny) URL instead. Hence why "www.google.com" (or .de for that matter) is a bad example.

He is simply using the TinyURL service. If a link doesn't work, that's not the script's fault. Although that shouldn't happen to begin with.
