I guess I never really did a good job of announcing this. Here is the script repository. It is a C# application that interacts with a web service (http://www.fiftytoo....pdate.asmx?wsdl) to download scripts. Users can request permission to submit their scripts (ask a script moderator).

http://www.fiftytoo.net/ScriptUpdate/
Requires the .NET Framework 3.5

If someone wants to make a wiki page for this, go ahead :)

Brilliant, I'm loving every second of it.

It's a shame the entire stealthbot program isn't as pretty  !

Great. We need more scripts for it.

Looks nice, but maybe you should add somewhere, that it requires the .NET Framework 3.5 to run. (required some testing to find that out :D )

I think it would be better as something incorporated into Stealthbot.

If it was a script in itself which you could open from within the bot, I think it would be used a lot more.

Obviously as a script it would be less powerful: but I think it would get better exposure.
Choose Functional.

The scripting system is already capable of updating scripts without this repository, it just sucks and has extremely limited functionality. It was decided a LONG time ago that anything more extravagant should be kept separate from StealthBot. This is the extravagant shit we were talking about :)

If you install it properly, then you should be able to launch it using the /repo command. This is the recommended method of launching the repository since it will choose the proper folder for installing scripts based on your current profile.

It's very good, but is the server still operational?

Yes, it is still up. It is hosted on a shared webhost so its not exactly zippy. It is designed to allow people to upload and maintain their own scripts, its just a matter of getting authors to contribute.

You could probably start with all of the official scripts.

I put all my official scripts on there already. Other authors should get their own uploaded. I'll issue some tickets for upload if you PM me.

I think I kept scripts up there, though since I've moved computers twice and I think I've lost all of my scripts and plugins.

Script moderators can create author accounts for the various authors of the official scripts and upload the latest versions. If someone complains we can delete it, if the author wants to post and update, give them their author key and let them do it.

hey,
i am not sure how to use it.
I need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and extract the zip into my script folder and reload
and then it should creat a clan o.O?

If i want to disable it there comes an error and then it disables it:

[04:19:25 PM] Error (#1011): '=' erwartet in DestroyObj().
[04:19:25 PM] Clan Creator has been disabled.

No, the Script Repository has nothing to do with the Clan Creator script. It's just an easier way to add scripts to your bot. It has no influence on the scripts you're downloading with it. You still have to know how to use the scripts.

So errors regarding separate scripts belong in separate topics.

It's a problem with the server not responding.

I stopped paying for the web hosting so the repository is no longer active. No plans on bringing it back either. Sorry.

What type of system was it on and how was it run? I might be able to chuck it on my server so such a good thing doesn't have to die out.

Indeed. I'd also be able and willing to run it, or even put it on www.stealthbot.net. I don't get why it had to be an external server in the first place.

It should really be 'shipped' in the installer and be used just like the launcher.

Might want to clean up the Stealthbot logo though... I had one lying around somewhere...

Actually, they offered a discounted rate to keep me as a customer. The reason it needs to be hosted on a separate service is because it uses a .Net WCF service hosted on IIS7 to provide the data to the client application. My first attempt at rewriting the script repository involved MySQL/PHP and a script using the UI objects. After several days of work I barely had anything to show for it. The development process was too flakey and debugging took forever. Once I switched to WCF and SQL Server, the code practically wrote itself.

Long story short, the repository is not going down after all. Sorry for the confusion.
