Reputation on a post is getting reset to 0 if the post is edited.

Not a big deal in most cases, but everytime I update a script and edit the top post, I'm losing all my accrued reputation, which really adds up.

Think of it as a measure of how much users like the changes you've made to your script.

Are you able to give rep to the same post again if its edited?

I'd assume so. If not, IPB fails.

It helps if you actually tell us the error you're getting.

If you want to keep the reputation system honest and actually use it for something, then get rid of the -rep option and only have +rep. I got -repped 6 times in this thread for no reason at all.

I suggest just having it in the major forums (News, 2.7/3.0 forums, beta+ forums) and having + and - (for incorrect support or something)

It's the negative rep that leaves it more open for abuse. I do agree that it should be taken out of some forums as well.

I'm guessing you're using 3.7 for bragging rights. You're using pre-alpha software. You should count your blessings that it doesn't start your computer on fire.
Swift, Ruby, Objective-C, JavaScript (the good parts)

iPhone Xs Max
MacBook Pro (2019, 15", 6-core i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD)
Unix Workstation (Arch linux, 6TB mirrored ZFS, Ryzen 3900X, 32GB ECC RAM, RTX 2070)

Fuck what I said about the rep system in the other topic. It's pretty fun -1'ing people who post stupid shit.

Is the rep system even USED for anything other than bragging rights at this time? And is there a way to see which posts your rep adjustments are coming from?

You can filter posts by rep, but everything is between -10 and 10, so it's useless.

If the rep system is used properly, it could help members distinguish who is capable of scripting and who is capable of technical assistance, like...for this to work, people would need to +rep alot more. I could understand if a problem gets solved, but it was with difficulty and the user got too frustrated, they wouldn't want to rep the person, but otherwise, +rep should be used. Then, maybe, a search function could be made to search by rep for people wanting to talk to someone who has a positive record for helping people. I dunno, just an idea.

Well, IMO you could add a line under the avatar to show the Reps cuz people don't wanna go to every one who is trying to help them and see their reps. that'd be really nice
I also think that reps should only be available in tech and scripting forums. not in discussion or off topic forums. that doesn't make sense really.

Why is the daily quota for negative posts per day so low? Raise it nub, I haven't smitten all of these nubs with a -1 yet!
