I have an idea for a web interface with the bot... Basically, the bot also server as a HTML server that, when viewed in a web browser (and after logging in), would look similar to the normal bot interface. This would allow the owner or other people with access to see the channel chat, and be able to chat and moderate. (Just think of how uTorrent (for those who know it or use it) has its web interface)

I think this would be a great feature, it would be very useful... think of anything that has a web browser (solving the issue of porting it to iPhone/Andriod/any phone with a web browser) and allowing remote access when at work, school or just not at the computer that is hosting the bot. I know I host my SB on a computer that is in the corner of a room 100s of miles away.. and this would be way better than remote desktop.

My profession is in web design and development (mostly development) so I know a thing or two about the web... if need me.

Stealth To Web -- It's been done. You don't have to login per se, but you can enable a username/password for it. Not positive if this has been updated to 2.7 though.

This is the 3.0 forum.

That's a really good idea! If you know HTML, you should design a mockup user interface, and if not just draw one. That way we can toss around ideas.

AFAIK with the design we wanna implement it'll work fine. Not really hosting a web server on the local comp, possible, but eww, but moreso adding a server side component to a server that can run .net code.

JavaOp1's web interface ran a server on a really obscure port. It was fine.

Probably a Silverlight UI frontend consuming a WCF service. Or something.

This would mean this feature would be highly limited, don't you think. Many people using the bot won't have access to a server that they can install .net code on.

Looks kinda neat. Needs improvement, of course.

Not bad at all. If someone wants to get really creative, you could even make one that looks just like the bot itself when running in Windows. ;)

The interaction between a user and software running on a Web server. The user interface is the Web browser and the Web page it downloaded and rendered. See Web application and Web server. A programming connection to the Web. See Web services and API. This is a good field i think you focus on HTML ,CSS for web designing
