Had a bad day? Tell us about it! It doesn't necessarily have to go along with the Today, such and such, FML format.
Are we still listing our languages and computer specs in our signature in November 2018?

Got home from a friends house and was greeting by yelling from my father. He was pissed because he thought I lost the tv remote and proceeded to ground me. A few hours later he found it in his bathroom. FML.

Yeah, pretty much. If other people hadn't called the other driver in I doubt the police would have believed it.

So, I just got done replacing all of the components in my timing belt line on my Audi a couple days ago(minus cam and crank sprockets). Today on my way home from my grandparents, just at the top of a hill was a couple of massive potholes, with a pile of dirt/rocks in the middle made by some tractor that was loaded heavy. My front tires found the two potholes, and my car bottomed out on the oil pan of the engine. Fortunately, the engine is alright, but it blew out my steering rack and bent a tie-rod end. So, now it is sitting in the garage(again) waiting for parts to come in.

Fudge my life.

You should get the city to pay for that. It's their job to make sure the roads don't have fucking holes... Isn't that why you pay taxes?

City will laugh at you and tell you to take an alternate route. The city has a list of road repairs they have to fix for this construction season, but these problems are problems that have usually been reported long before you, so the road you're looking at to get fixed probably won't be fixed for about 2 years or so, depending on what needs to be done. Unless it's absurdly bad, it'll get added onto an existing list as an emergency fix, but if it's like, a few potholes on a sidestreet and there's only a few people reporting it, nothing will get done because that's not a priority repair. That, in a nut shell, is how the roadworks contracts usually work.

My city apparently has enough money that they can afford to add random things to the road and then take them out a few days later.

Yeah, it all gets quite complicated why things take so long to get done :(
