APRIL FOOLS!!

Unlike our traditional April Fool's Day jokes that typically occur before April Fool's Day, we have kept this one going beyond April Fool's Day in hopes of catching even the most skeptical forum members by surprise. It is rare that one is actually fooled on the day of practical jokes and this is disappointing as it detracts from our fun and appreciation of a clever ruse. We are sorry for any inconveniences that this joke may have caused -- especially for those senior members that had temporarily lost their rankings -- but please keep in mind, this was simply for your enjoyment.

Unfortunately, due to the absence of an official April Fool's joke this year, one of our senior members felt that he was capable of creating one of his own. Using his ability to upload file attachments and post direct HTML code, one of our members launched an SQL attack that temporarily brought the site down. The member has been removed from our site, and we are now currently working to restore the damages.

To prevent further damages, the senior member program has been suspended until further notice and all current senior members have effectively been demoted.

The senior member program has always been my creation, and as such, I feel entirely responsible for the events that have taken place today. I am deeply sorry for any inconveniences that this event may have caused, and I feel that it is my personal responsibility to fix every problem that has occurred as a result of my failures. I am again, deeply sorry.

Update (April 1st, 12:50 P.M. P.S.T.): I was able to restore all of the display names from an earlier backup of the members table.

Update (April 2nd, 9:58 A.M. P.S.T.): I've enabled several of the personal member forums belonging to forum moderators and administrators. These forums, however, will be merged into the General Chat category.
