Whois Information to PHP, Get bot information out to a websit Options

Hi everyone

I was wondering if its possble for me to get the data from a /whois command out to a PHP snippet, where someone can read as text


[USERNAME] Is Currently [Offline/In Game, in private channel, etc.].

This is so users on the website can see the Bot and if its up or down.

According to what I know, you would need to have script which runs a /whois command every X seconds, and then update an SQL database with the new information.
However, this would most likely not work, due to the fact that the bot cannot run very many /whois commands without being IP banned for flooding.
If it was 1-2 people every 60-120 seconds, then maybe, but with the current version of StealthBot, this would be too much for it.

If you can find a way for several bots to communicate with each other to share the load (I do not know if a way currently exists), then it may be possible, but it would require multiple bots to function properly.

Well, perhaps a script that takes the stealthbot, makes it send a /whois command to another user, and then sends that data to a database. every 60 seconds, can that be done?

You mean "sharing the load"?
Unless you can find a way to do that, I do not think this would be possible.

Are you trying to check on the status of the bot, or the use the bot to check the status of other users?
